Imploring a Deaf-Mute Heart

Can your soul hear? Can it speak? If you don't know then it is time for you to discover the sounds of your heart. There is a ministry that takes place beneath the surface of your life. The Spirit of God is in the business of sub-corpus transformation: an edification within the underlying foundation of your self. Become disciplined, hone your decision making skills, but do not forget to develop the acuity of your soul. The Spirit is speaking to you; can you hear what it is saying?

Can you hear what the Spirit is saying?

Paul was a church leader who ministered to Christians in Rome. He insisted that they allow their lives to be guided by the Holy Spirit. The relationship between their spirit and the Spirit of God required a deeper level of conversation. We see how the clamor of spoken word is unable to penetrate the deepest parts of our life. Human bodies cannot grasp life or peace. The Spirit desires such things but it requires complete submission to the heart of God. Paul writes in Romans chapter eight,

"For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory."

For the Spirit himself to testify with our spirit we must develop a common language, a common listening to the mind of Christ. He loves us, cares for us, and wants us to live for him. He chooses to reveal himself to us in deeper ways. The world in which we live has developed a callous toward God's voice. When we follow the patterns of the world we become deaf and dumb to the will of Christ. Listen in your heart, allow your soul to commune with God. This is how you become a child of God and an heir to His kingdom.
