Full Contact Juggling
I am fascinated by different cultures, especially subcultures of my own affinity group. People who choose to supplant themselves in a narrowly focused discipline are infinitely interesting to me. They often choose to major in minor things that go otherwise unnoticed to the casual passerby. Such is the case in a video posted by Grantland this week. The YouTube channel highlighted a subculture that had never occurred to me before: combat juggling.
This style of juggling highlighted in the film consisted of two teams of jugglers. Each was required to keep their three clubs in motion while trying to force their opponents to drop a club. The team who manages to stay juggling the longest wins.

Who would have thought that this circus art could evolve into a competitive team sport? It just goes to show that any discipline has a multitude of applications when carried out to its fullest. What is next? Competitive painting?
