What would it look like to view every Facebook profile picture at once? Consider more than 1.2 billion thumbnails from the worlds greatest human network of all time! Natalie Rojas, a self described Creative Technologist, set out to do just that. Her project, The Faces of Facebook, renders an epic mash up from histories greatest collection of user submitted photographs. What do you think when you see a page representing over 1 billion photographs? It is amazing that one click reveals the actual composition of people that make up the grey mess. It is humbling to imagine that many people, that many lives, with that many stories. You can actually identify yourself among the pictures if you so wish. Doing this creates a greater sense of the scope of the project. One thing is sure, I am but one of many people.
