Ephesian Leadership Theology – Part 1

intro - part 1 - part 2 - part 3 - part 4
Driven by the Spirit.
Leaders should be driven by the Spirit. No other source of motivation can direct as clearly. Paul tells the Ephesian church to seek the filling of the Spirit instead of seeking the things of this world.[1] Leadership skills can be attained through a variety of tools today. There are many classes one can attend and many books one can read. These resources may be useful for the leadership but there is no substitute for the direction of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit draws the apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher close to Christ so that they may prepare God’s people for works of service. The Spirit also produces a peace by which all of creation can be united as one. This unity is crucial for the church to be able to move forward as one body.
