Like it Brent. On our team we call that concept alignment. It's so important that our team(s) walk in unity under the vision and leadership of our pastor.

You know, we haven't hung out in a long time... I can drive at least to Tacoma for lunch...

[...] Orson Scott Card’s second installment of the Ender’s Game Series is an fictional work of future anthropology. This is an imaginative story surrounding the discovery of an alien race. Our hero, Andrew, was not always a Speaker. Andrew Ender Wiggin played crucial role in the xenocide of the Buggers three thousand years ago. His travels between the stars has kept him relatively young while the natural world has aged three thousand years. Ancient history is Andrews childhood and the nickname Ender has traded its fame for infamy. There is a chance to protect this new race of alien life and advocate for their survival. The full story of Andrew Ender Wiggin can be read in Ender’s Game and is a must for anyone interested in Speaker for the Dead. You can read my review of Ender’s Game here. By the way, loved the podcast you did with Brian the other week. The "Big Ask," I loved it... big ask...

Love this post. "The smaller the box, the more control you have" is such a great line.

A youth pastor once told me he was glad his youth ministry was 13 students and that he didn't want it to grow.

His reasoning? Because they were easy to control and they fit into one 15 passenger van.

This is especially hard for high-capacity people like yourself.

This is why I quote Martin Luther often, "While I sit here and sip my Whittenburg beer, the Kingdom marches on!"

Nov30Sabrina Davenport I don’t think that is the meassge at all. I think it is poking fun at all the PC police and the retailers that make huge profits off Christmas but won’t allow there sales clerks to say Merry Christmas..or look whats happening in RI. They are putting up a “Holiday Tree”…What is that? What other Holiday outside of Christmas puts up a tree? Look at the name of the Choir, ACLU. Put your thinking caps on:)

I love this discussion, Brent. As you know, we are learning much of this now at ECC. The value and power of team has to exceed the value and power of me, in my own mind, or I won't be willing to surrender the autonomy I'm used to for the team to succeed.
